With eloquent words does the
poet call to mind the glory of Our Kingdom. In meter and rhyme are his talents
professed. So with words We (Sovereign's name) and (Consort's name), Sovereign
and Consort of Meridies, do recognize Our subject (Recipient's name) as
Poet-Laureate of Meridies for the duration of Our Reign, and charge [him/her]
thus, to leave in words Our true beliefs, Our wisdom and concerns, and return
again to paper to see what we have learned. To speak of truth and honor and to
never let the pen be stilled, to never let your voice be silent until the words
of Our hearts have been spoken. Done this (number) day of (month) Anno
Societatis (Society year), being (year) Gregorian.
-To be signed by Sovereign
and Consort, with space for their seals.
