his/her courtesy, chivalry, and skill both on and off the field of battle, do
of our especial grace and certain knowledge recognize (name of recipient) as a
Knight/ Master of Arms of the Society, to be in all places of honour numbered a
Peer of our Realm and a member of the Order of Chivalry, with all rights,
privileges, insignia, precedence, and responsibilities thereto ap pertaining.
(And furthermore do we confirm upon him/her by Letters Patent the right to bear
(heraldic description of registered arms or “arms as duly registered with the College of Arms of the Society”).) Done by our
